  PEGASE Cluster : Developing the aviation and aerospace industry
PEGASE was created by major industry players, research and training organizations and innovative SMEs, in an effort to develop the economic and technological activities of the region’s aviation and aerospace industry.

The strategy chosen by PEGASE is to apply the technological advances of such fields as electronics, mechanics, optics and textile to the development of so-called “air solutions” (comprehensive and continuous site surveillance, ultra fast passenger transportation, etc.).

PEGASE aims to generate € 800 million in turnover within the next 5 years.

    GEOMATICS:  60 researchers, geographers, sociologists, historians, anthropologists from 4 regional universities (Aix-Marseille, Avignon and Nice) and from the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) to analyze regional dynamics.
    The lab focuses both on core research (particularly in spatial analysis and modeling) as well as its applications.

    Lab on core research and applied projects.
    This site’s physical, seismic and electromagnetic characteristics make it a unique interdisciplinary research center with a very low noise environment.

    CERI - IT Research Lab in Avignon

    A CNRS Laboratory specialized in IT and associated with the University of Avignon.
    Works mostly on European R&D projects in partnership with big companies in the industry (Thalès in particular).
